About Nevada Unemployment Office
Information on unemployment is available to Nevada citizens via the Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR). Citizens, legal non-citizens, and recently separated members of the US military forces can all get help from the Nevada unemployment office applying for benefits.
Speaking with a DETR official will also provide applicants with information on their eligibility for unemployment benefits and the application procedure. Old claims can be reopened, former applications can be viewed, and benefits overpayments can be handled by previous participants.
If concerned citizens discover fraud, they can also file a report with the Nevada unemployment office.

Residents of Nevada who recently experienced a reduction in work hours, temporary employment hours, or a loss of a job entirely are eligible for unemployment insurance.
Each unemployment office is free to talk about how they calculate benefits and how long financial assistance will last. Claimants interested in learning more about unemployment services including retraining and job searches can chat with a DETR agent.
Participants can call the office to discuss methods and rates of payment as well as the potential for extensions in order to obtain comprehensive unemployment information regarding claims.
For all federal and state holidays, with the exception of Columbus Day, offices and phone lines are shut down.
