In order to file, you need your myAlaska username and password. If you no longer remember your myAlaska password, below are the instructions for you.
Who is eligible for unemployment benefits in Alaska?
Unemployed Alaskans must meet the following conditions to qualify for unemployment benefits:
- Earned wages from an employer who, throughout the base period for review, paid unemployment taxes.
- When a full-time position becomes available, you are prepared to accept it, especially by arranging child care and transportation.
- Actively looking for work, reporting weekly job searches, and applying for jobs as needed
- Capable on a physical and mental level to look for and accept acceptable full-time work.
- Residents of Alaska who are required to register for employment must do so online at AlaskaJobs in order to be eligible for unemployment benefits.
Details required for filing
You need the following information for filling:
- The social security number you have
- Your personal PIN (for VICTOR only)
- myAlaska login information (for Internet)
- Dates of any trips made during the claimed week(s)
- Any holiday, vacation, retirement, severance, and bonus Payments you received during the weeks you are claiming, along with the gross amount and employer name.
For any week(s) you worked and claimed.
- Gross income prior to deductions (include earnings, jury duty, self-employment and commissions, even if you have not been paid.)
- How many hours were put in
- Last day of that week’s employment
- Address and Name of Employer(s)
How do I file for Alaska unemployment?
You can use the phone or the internet to submit your biweekly claims (VICTOR). If you want to continue receiving benefits after filing a claim, you must do so every two weeks.

NOTE:
- You will receive your amount through email when you need to complete your next bi-weeks claim.
