How to activate the Illinois EBT card?
Call the Illinois link Hotline at 1-800-678-LINK(5465) as soon as you receive the electronic advantage transfer card in the mail to create a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and learn the advantage amount. If you acquire more than one card, use the steps below to activate each one and set up your PIN.
- Type in the P-EBT card’s 16-digit number.
- Put in nine (999-99-9999) for each Social protection number digit (Do not put in the Social protection Number of your child or yourself).
- The child whose name is on the card’s birthdate should be entered.
- Put in a 4-digit PIN that you personally chose.
- The card is ready for use once the entry has been verified.
