Who is helping the homeless in Denver?
Despite the state of the city’s housing market, there are some groups working to help the homeless in Denver. Denver Homeless Out Loud, for instance, organizes advocates for people experiencing homelessness.

Founded by people who have been homeless themselves, this organization has also been behind the recent class-action lawsuit against the city’s “urban camping ban.” They even have their own website to accept donations. And there’s the Beloved Community Village, a practical solution to homelessness in Denver.
Since it first opened its doors in 1960, the Denver Inner City Parish has provided food pantry services. The nonprofit group also provides counseling services. For in-kind donations, Denver residents can donate toilet paper, copy paper, and even rolls of stamps.

The Denver Inner City Parish also accepts donations of nonperishable food. But they can’t afford food because of the astronomical prices of groceries in the city.
Colorado Coalition for the homeless housing
It is proud to partner with the City of Denver on a Social Impact Bond program to help people in need to live permanently in supportive housing. The program is providing housing for 250 chronically homeless people throughout the Denver area.
The Coalition and its partners will be responsible for providing 165 new apartments through the program. The housing will be available to people with limited resources. Approximately 250 people will live in the apartments.
The organization provides referrals and rental assistance. Additionally, it offers limited financial aid and landlord/tenant advocacy. In addition to housing services, the Coalition for the Homeless offers counseling and life skills training.
Those in need of rental assistance can find the right place for them by searching their online directory of housing assistance resources. These resources will be of help in navigating the application process.
