Who is Shane Olson?
Shane Olson has more than 14 years of experience in the video game industry. He has great experience working at a number of prestigious firms, including Sony and Acclaim, and currently holds the position of Senior Personality Artist at Disney Interactive’s Avalanche Software.
Shane has two books on personality modeling to his credit. With his expertise in digital sculpting, modeling, rigging, animation, and texturing, Shane possesses a wide spectrum of abilities. Shane enjoys spending time with his family and friends when he isn’t sculpting.
- Zbrush live: Shane frequently broadcasts on the live Twitch channel of Pixologic. ZBrush was created by Pixologic. Every Monday at 11:00 AM Pacific Time, Shane broadcasts LIVE.
- Zbrush summit: Every year, Shane goes to the Summit. Together with his friend and coworker Matt Thorup, he presented in 2016. He occasionally does Live sessions as well.
- Zbrush sculpt off: Shane participated in the Live Sculpt-Off at the Summit in 2016 as well. With a stylised depiction of a dandelion losing his hair, Shane finished third. (We extend our sincere gratitude to Jason Kim for the concept design).
- Digital-tutors: Back when Pluralsight was known as Digital Tutors, Shane contributed to a number of online lessons as well as other websites. His “Golfer Head” instructional, which has received over 80,000 views, is his most popular work.
